One less app to open
A lot of tradies and sole traders already have Claude or ChatGPT open all day - for quotes, for emails, for working out a materials list. Invoicing usually means stopping that, opening a separate app, and typing the same job details again.
Connect Invio to the AI you already use and the invoice can start right there, in the same conversation. You say what the job was - client, hours, materials - and it comes back as a real draft in your Invio account, ready to check.
Prefer to type it in yourself, or use voice-to-invoice on your phone? Both stay exactly as they are. This is another way in, not a replacement for either.

How sending stays safe
Drafting and sending are two separate tools, not two steps of one action - there is no combined "create and send" the AI could reach for by accident. To actually send, it has to call a different tool and pass an explicit confirmation, and it is instructed to show you the full draft and get your go-ahead first. To be precise about what that is: an instruction the AI follows, not a lock a server holds - we would rather say that plainly than let the wording imply more than it delivers.
Some AI-connected invoicing tools do not say anywhere what their AI can and cannot do. Invio publishes the whole list - every tool it has access to, and what is only an instruction versus what the server actually checks - on the setup guide, because a business tool that touches money should not need to be taken on trust.
- Draft and send in the same step - sending is always a separate tool call, and the AI is instructed to check with you before making it.
- Skip a plan limit or the bank-details check - you can choose to send without bank details when you take payment another way; the AI cannot.
- Change your bank details, tax identity, or region without reading the change back to you, asking first, and emailing you the moment it happens.
- Record a payment, issue a refund, or delete anything.

Generate a connector link from Settings > AI connections in Invio, then add it in whichever AI you use - Claude has a one-click button that pre-fills it; ChatGPT needs Developer Mode turned on first (drafting changes needs a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace with Developer mode turned on; a personal Pro account can only read).
