Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes, completely free. You can create, preview, and download as many invoices as you need with no email gate, no watermark, and no credit card required.
Is my data stored or sent to a server?
We do not see or store anything on our servers. Your browser remembers your last draft locally (including your logo) using localStorage so you do not lose it on a page refresh, until you click Clear form. Nothing is transmitted over the network.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. The tool includes an optional logo uploader. Your logo renders directly on the live preview and prints on the downloaded PDF. It stays stored in this browser only.
Does it handle NZ GST correctly?
Yes. The tool supports two pricing modes: prices entered excluding GST (adds 15% on top of the subtotal) and prices entered including GST (back-calculates the 3/23 GST component). If you are not GST registered, toggle that option off and no GST will appear on the invoice.
When is GST registration required in NZ?
Registration with IRD is compulsory once your turnover reaches $60,000 or more in the last twelve months, or is expected to reach that in the next twelve months. Below that threshold, registration is optional. If you are not registered, do not charge GST.
