Invio started with a simple frustration. Running as a sole trader, the tools available were either too basic — nothing more than a PDF template that still needed manual GST maths — or far too complex, bundling full payroll, bookkeeping, and multi-user accounting into something that cost more per month than the problem warranted.
What was missing was the middle ground: something that handled quotes, GST-ready invoices, payment tracking, and automated follow-up, without requiring an accountant to set up or a monthly subscription that outweighed the benefit. Invio was built to be that tool — NZ-first from the ground up, not a global product with NZ support bolted on.
The goal has stayed the same since the first line of code: help sole traders and tradies get paid faster, with less admin, and at a price that makes sense for a one-person business.

GST-ready invoices, IRD-aligned records, NZ bank detail fields, and Xero/MYOB export. Not a generic tool retrofitted for New Zealand.
